A Day at the Bird Park.
Friday, November 9, 2012 @ 11:18 PM
A revisit to the Jurong Bird Park with Rosie and her Russian friends. Rosie just got herself a 1100d so I thought it would be good for us to go for a photography adventure together! It was actually a healthy activity as well since we only ever meet up in Singapore to go party...
Surprisingly, the Bird Park was not as boring as I initially thought it would be. We were quite fascinated by the wide varieties of birds in the park - mostly up close at that! We actually managed to spend the whole afternoon wandering around the park, enjoying ourselves despite the slight drizzle towards the end. My favourite part of the whole park has to be the Lory Loft, where we got to interact with and feed colourful Lories. I am not a huge fan of birds, but I love the photos taken on that day. For a small donation, we got to feed both the Lories and the Pelicans. I love animal feedings, it allows personal interaction with the animals and makes the whole experience hands-on and memorable!
All my photos were taken with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 ii. I love the bokeh effect it creates. Definitely a $140 well-spent! It is amazing how different lenses can open up to whole new worlds in photography. I can't wait to bring it out for a walk again!^^
